Wayne Physical Therapy & Spine Center is a 4,000 square foot outpatient facility located 30 minutes outside of New York City. We are accessible by bus or car. The practice is primarily an orthopedic, hand and sports medicine facility, age ranging in general from approximately 10 to 85, with some above or below those age ranges. We additionally do see adult neurologic cases. Our neurologic cases are more chronic in nature, already having been seen through an in-patient rehabilitative setting. In-services are held on a regular basis, staff meetings monthly, and clinical staff meetings and quality assurance meetings on a quarterly basis.

The facility is heavily oriented to the McKenzie approach for treatment of spinal problems, as well as manual therapy and patient education. We have credentialed McKenzie, Board Certified Orthopedic Specialists and Certified Hand Therapists on staff. The skill level of all therapists is well beyond the average and only serious students are encouraged to choose this affiliation. It is an unequaled learning experience but with that comes responsibility and work for the students.

Students will generally be assigned two clinical instructors and will go through a specific orientation procedure. Information regarding the facility is sent to the student prior to the beginning of the affiliation, which includes dress code, hours, etc. Room and board is not available to students at this affiliation, however, a microwave, toaster oven and refrigerator are available for use for lunch and there are many restaurants and deli’s in the area as well.

Wayne Physical Therapy & Spine Center is owned by Barry G. Inglett, PT and Catherine E. Laico, PT. Ms. Laico also serves as the center’s coordinator for clinical education.
